A new version of Snapchat, launched today by Snapchat, allows users to send half swipes and snapchats to their friends.
In addition, users can swipe to open their conversation or open a reply from another Snapchat user.
“The Snapchat app is built for sharing, so we know we need to offer users the ability to share more easily with their friends,” the company said in a blog post.
“We also believe it’s important to build a platform for people to be able to do that.”
In a post on the Snapchat app, the company explained that users will be able “send half swiping, half snapping, or both.”
“You can also choose to share half swiped or half snapping in a message,” the blog post read.
“As you can see in the gif above, we’ve added the ability for you to select the swiping option.”
Snapchat’s new half-swipe and half-snapchat option will be available for users who have the Snapchat iOS app installed.
Snapchat also updated its Terms of Service, which was updated in August.
“Snapchat is committed to a free and open platform for everyone to share their photos and videos,” the Terms of Use read.
Snapchat will not be able, however, to charge users to “share” their snaps.
