The mobile app industry is full of buzzwords, but they don’t always translate to any sort of tangible results.
In a recent interview with Reuters, mobile app creator Aarp founder Teemu Saari told how he went about crafting the company’s swipe lock feature in React Native.
This is a short video, but it’s worth watching.
The story is an example of a more ambitious swipe lock that would have allowed users to swipe up on a photo instead of a notification, but the app would have continued to collect data even after the user had swiped away.
Aarp made a lot of strides in the field of mobile apps this year, but its focus on apps and not technology should be a positive sign.
