The Calgary Flames acquired Erik Karlson from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday in exchange for a 2019 fourth-round pick, according to the NHL’s official NHL Trade Rumors database.
The Flames received center Alex Chiasson, a 2018 second-round draft pick and a 2019 third-round selection in exchange.
Karlsson, 27, was acquired in a deal with the Columbus organization on March 1.
He was acquired from Columbus for a fourth-rounder, a 2019 second-rounder and a 2021 third-rounder in the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline.
He played in 82 games last season with the Blue Jackets, scoring three goals and adding eight assists.
Karlsson has four goals and 14 points in 55 games this season with Columbus.
In addition to the four picks, the Flames also received a 2019 seventh-round conditional draft pick in 2019 from the New York Islanders and a 2020 second- round draft pick from the Los Angeles Kings in the trade.
The Islanders and Kings each have the rights to the pick in the deal.
