New technology allows Tinder users to swipe right or left to change a single match.
The feature is a swipe on the right side of a screen, meaning it automatically replaces the previous match, or changes a single one, rather than making it an automatic match.
But that’s not how it works with new Tinder auto swipe users, as BuzzFeed News reports.
Tinder auto-shares are currently not a swipe option on the app, but the company is working to make them available on the site.
The news comes as Tinder users are struggling with the company’s swipe auto-share feature.
A user recently shared a story about her Tinder swipe sharing experience, saying she felt like she was being swiped on the left side of the screen instead of on the top.
But a representative for Tinder told BuzzFeed News that the swipe auto share feature will work with both swipe left and swipe right.
“We have an extensive testing process in place to help ensure our users are happy with the experience they have on Tinder,” the representative said.
“It’s important to note that we have not tested this feature with new users.”
A Tinder spokesperson said it is “working to improve” the auto-sharing feature.
